What is a Bank Manager?

Basic Requirement to become a Bank Manager:-

• It is mandatory for the candidate to be an Indian citizen to become a bank manager.

• To become a bank manager, you need to have a bachelor's degree from a university.

• To become a bank manager, you must have a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting. To become a bank manager, you must have at least 60 percent marks in graduation.

• Physical fitness is also necessary to become a bank manager.

• For Bank Manager post (Bank PO) the minimum age should be 21 years and not more than 30 years.

• To become a manager in private banks, it is mandatory for the candidate to join the PO program. In which graduate candidates from 21 to 30 years can become eligible for this with 55 percent marks. However, there is a special relaxation of 5 and 3 years for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

• To become a bank manager, you should have basic computer knowledge and should be able to operate tally.

• Work experience in banking line will give you an added advantage and optional.

How to get job in government bank?

If you want to become a manager in a government bank then it is mandatory for you to qualify the exam of Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). After qualifying the exam you can get job in government bank. However, the bank prepares the exam according to its own accord.

How to get job in private bank?

If you want to apply for private bank then you have to join PO program (Probationary Officer). After the completion of this PO program, the candidate is selected for different banks.

Bank manager exam pattern

Generally, there are three phases for the selection of candidates in a government bank. The first two phases are the written examination and finally the interview phase. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks in final merit list and interview.

Bank Manager exam is conducted in three stages:-

• Preliminary Exam

• Mains

• Interview

Preliminary Examination

This is the first stage of the exam. In this, questions related to General Knowledge Current Affairs, General English, Maths, Logical Reasoning are asked from the candidate. This is a written examination. If the candidate qualifies this examination, then he/she becomes eligible to appear in the main examination.

Mains Exam

In the main examination, three different categories of questions are asked from the candidate. The main exam is of 100 marks. There is also negative marking in this exam. It consists of 35 questions from Quantitative section, 35 questions from Logical Reasoning and 30 questions from English language.

Interview

After qualifying the first two stages of the examination, the candidate is called for an interview. To qualify the interview, the candidate needs to focus on General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning. In the interview, the candidate is asked questions related to Politics, Social, Indian Economy, Market, Agriculture, Finance, Awards, Constitution of India, Media, Sports, Reserve Bank of India and Banking related events.

Group Discussion

After the above three steps, finally there is the fourth step. In this stage, group discussion is conducted in which the candidate is given a topic on which he has to express his views. Your eligibility is tested through Group Discussion after which the candidate is selected for the post of Bank Manager.
